Artist as Entrepreneur 2015

Applications for Artist as Entrepreneur 2015 are now open! Designed for advancing visual artists, Artist as Entrepreneur is an eight session program taking artists through many facets of their art career. Using a combination of presentation and small group work, Artist as Entrepreneur addresses issues related to:
- How to work with galleries and festivals.
- How artists can promote themselves.
- How artwork is sold, and what influences the art market.
- How to set career goals.
- How to use new media to build clients.
- How to handle basic finances.
- How to protect yourself legally.
The Program begins Monday, March 2nd, and runs Mondays and Thursday’s, 4:30 to 6:30 through March 26th. All sessions are held at the Arts Council New Orleans.

There is no fee to participate in Artist as Entrepreneur, but artists are expected to be or become Members of the Arts Council. Artists are expected to attend all sessions.
How to apply: Artist as Entrepreneur is only for visual artists. To apply, please email 5 images of your artwork and a statement as to why you’d like to participate to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, February 9th.
