Arts Market New Orleans
On Saturday, July 30th in Palmer Park from 10am – 4pm the Arts Market will feature local fine arts vendors, a children’s tent, food from delicious, local food vendors, and local musician performances.

Bone is a band of life long musicians and several artists from the Palmer Park Art Market. The band has a revolving cast of characters mining the Americana vein of music and more. From JJ Cale to Neil Young, Bob Dylan to the Rolling Stones, Bobby Charles to Johnny Cash and with a few originals thrown in to make a fine New Orleans gumbo!
Karen Ocker is an award winning New Orleans artist who first gained notoriety for her political satire in The George W. Bush Coloring Book and Ray Nagin Coloring Book. Her work has been included in exhibitions at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center, McKenna Museum of African American Art & A.I.R. Gallery, New York. Her work has appeared in Day for Night, the 2006 Whitney Museum Biennial Catalogue, covers of Offbeat Magazine’s “Jazz Fest Bible” and most recently the cover of the 2015 Louisiana Festivals and Events Calendar. Her work can be found in collections throughout the United States and Europe, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, Blues Hall of Fame, Memphis TN and Luciano Benetton’s imago mundi collection, Italy.
