Food for Thought
All Day. Until January 19
These days, food takes center stage in our lives in complicated & interesting ways – as entertainment with rock star chefs and reality shows about running a restaurant; as an art form through carefully crafted fine dining experiences & artists who use food as the subject of their creative [removed]like us); through science & health moving into industry & politics with diets, food manufactured for health conscious consumers, organic v. genetically modified food, famine, obesity, commercial trade, food aid; etc.,.
We invited 40 Artists working in the medium of metal to THINK about food, and PLAY with it … conceptually or even like you did when you were a kid (think edible jewelry or the work of Debbie Tuch & David Urso) in the creation of a wearable piece of art and/or functional/non-functional small sculpture.
Show runs until Nov. 13.
