A life-long resident of Louisiana, Barbara Roberds specializes in black-and-white and hand painted fine art photographs that capture the essence of her unique home state.
Her portraits of rural life, as well as her rustic custom frames, convey the spirit of the natural, uncomplicated life she experienced growing up on the banks of Louisiana’s Lake St. John. An adulthood spent in the quaint neighborhoods of historic New Orleans is reflected in distinctive hand-colored images emphasizing the retro design of never-to-be-seen-again buildings scheduled for destruction or remodeling.
