Krewe of Eve
In 1986, six local residents decided to form a ladies’ Mardi Gras Parade Krewe. After many weeks of gathering information, they gave a party and invited local women. From this gathering, the Krewe of Eve started with 260 ladies.
The Krewe of Eve first paraded in Mandeville on February 14, 1987, with their first theme, “Famous Lovers”. While the krewe is noted for it’s beautiful parade, the Krewe of Eve members also participate in many community projects.
Eve members contribute, through Eve, to Toys for Tots and The Food Bank. They have helped with Habitat for Humanity with the Women’s Build. The Krewe of Eve is part of the D.A.R.E. convention and is also a member of the West St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce.
