NOLA Project

The NOLA Project is a theatre company dedicated to a renewed and
strengthened theatre scene in New Orleans. It began when a group of
actors studying at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts
wanted to create a theatre with the highest dramatic standards in a
city ripe for theatrical revival. After its premiere play was cut
short by Hurricane Katrina, the company’s mission was strengthened and
rededicated. Through the creation of new works, high quality
performances of relevant great works, and by serving as a resource to
area students and artists, The NOLA Project hopes to be one of the
standard bearers of New Orleans’ artistic renaissance, sharing its work
in the city and bringing word of the city’s revived arts scene to the
rest of the country.

The NOLA Project is a nonprofit corporation currently operating
under the fiscal umbrella of 501©(3) Southern Repertory Theatre. To
donate to us tax deductibly, checks can be made out to ‘Southern Rep
Theatre’ with ‘The NOLA Project’ on the memo line.
