St. James Cheese Company
Danielle and Richard Sutton, with their son Finn in tow, moved back to New Orleans in June 2006 from London where Richard ran a 200-year-old cheese shop called Paxton and Whitfield.
At the St. James Cheese Company, their mission is to offer their customers as wide a selection of perfectly ripe cheeses as possible in a friendly environment that will entice both a novice and a veteran cheese lover.
Their primary focus is on artisinal cheese, and emphasizes both outstanding domestic farmhouse cheeses as well as carefully selected European and international varieties. Quality ultimately determines which cheese they sell.
