Recommended grants will be approved as part of the City of New Orleans’ 2018 budget process.  Award letters will be mailed in December 2017.  Below is program information.

A priority of this grant program is to help support nonprofit arts organizations with 501(c)(3) status domiciled in Orleans Parish that carry out quality arts programming addressed through New Orleans as Cultural Capital Grants.  New Orleans as Cultural Capital supports general operations in accordance to budget size.  The CAG program also provides specific targeted funding for Grassroots Parading Traditions through the More Joy category.  The More Joy category helps to support New Orleans indigenous cultural groups, for example Mardi Gras Indians and Social Aid and Pleasure Clubs.
