Kevin Costner and Lee Dragna of Blue Planet discuss the company’s Big Gulp oil skimmers, how they can be used to protect our marine ecosystems and prevent oil from ever reaching our shores, as well as the difficulties they’ve faced incorporating this solution in the aftermath of BP’s Gulf of Mexico oil spill. The interview was conducted at a Morgan City, Louisiana shipyard on April 20, 2011, the anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon tragedy. Blue Planet believes their solution can make a huge impact in protecting our environment from future oil spills.
