2010 Community Arts Award Recipient: Anthony Bean Community Theater

Anthony Bean Community Theatre & Acting School (ABCT) was established in 2000 to work with New Orleans residents interested in learning and participating in dramatic art. One of the main goals of the theater is to awaken the community to an appreciation of what man can accomplish through a positive self-awareness.
The Arts Council of New Orleans each year celebrates the Community Arts Awards. Since 1977, the Community Arts Awards have recognized living individuals, organizations and corporations which have made outstanding contributions to the arts in New Orleans. Recipients are continue selected for their artistic excellence, sustained contributions, unique achievements, perseverance, and a deep commitment to the arts and local community.
