New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund: Grant Applications Open July 1st!

Dear Cultural Artists and Cultural Industries,

We are happy to announce that the applications for all levels will open July 1st!

  • Level 1 Mini Grant ($1 – $2500) – Intake max: 85 applications
  • Level 2 ($2,501 – $9,999) – Intake max: 10 applications
  • Level 3 ($10,000 – $100,000) -Intake max: 25 applications

You can apply online via our website: www.notcf.com/grants. Applications open at 12:00 AM on Saturday, July 1, 2023. The link will be open until 11:59 PM on Monday, July 31, 2023, or once we receive the maximum number of applications per level (whichever comes first).

Level 2 & 3 Grant Applicants: If the proposed program does not occur in the current calendar year, you may apply during the last cycle (beginning October 1st) of this year. For example, if your event, activity or program is planned for 2024, please apply in October 2023.

Level 1 Mini Grant Applicants: If you need assistance completing an application and would like to make an in-person appointment with one of our staff, use the Schedulicity Link below. Appointments will be on Mondays and Wednesdays only starting July 5th. Scheduling will be open weekly. You will be able to make an appointment for the following week depending on availability.

What you need to apply:

  • If the applicant received previous funding from NOTCF, a Performance Report must be completed before applying.
  • If you have scheduled an appointment for assistance with completing a Mini Grant application, you will not be seen if the report is not submitted prior to your scheduled appointment.
  • All applicants must submit a copy of the following documents for their organization or their fiscal agent:
  • Articles of Incorporation (non-profit organizations) or Articles of Organization (for-profit entities), IRS letter establishing EIN, W9 with EIN (not a Social Security Number), and an Occupational License or the Occupational License Application Summary (this is ONLY required if your organization is an LLC or for-profit entity in the City of New Orleans).
  • If you are using an NOTCF fiscal agent, one of our team members will provide the name and necessary documentation upon receiving your request for such information.

For Level 1 Mini Grant Applicants:

  • All Level 1 Mini Grant applicants must submit a copy of photo identification (Driver’s License, State ID, School ID, Passport, etc.) for us to identify the applicant.
  • If applying as a traditional cultural practitioner, all applicants must submit at least one (1) photo of themselves in a suit or regalia without a mask, crown, or anything covering the individual’s face for us to identify everyone applying and match their photos to the identification provided.
  • All applicants must submit an itemized budget listing supplies and their costs.
  • If the applicant is a minor (under 18 years old), you must submit at least 1 of the 5 documents listed below:
  • School Profile Page with Picture of Minor
  • School or State ID
  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Records
  • Traditional Cultural Artists (Bearers) must have participated in a cultural entity (Indian, Baby Doll, Social Aid & Pleasure Club, Skull & Bones, etc.) for at least one (1) year before applying for potential funding with NOTCF.
  • The applicant must have participated in that cultural entity within the past two (2) years of applying for potential funding.

For in-person appointments: In-person appointments are reserved for Mini Grant applicants ONLY.
