Gentilly Resilience District Public Art Selection Committee Meeting

Event Description: The Gentilly Resilience District public art selection committee will meet on Zoom to evaluate the public art proposals submitted to the Gentilly Canals & Lagoons Request for Proposals (RFP). The mini-RFP was open only to the five artists selected as a result of the Gentilly Resilience District RFQ and who completed Arts New Orleans’ Civic Arts Fellowship. The selection committee is composed of community leaders, art and design professionals, city representatives, and Gentilly residents. This meeting is open to the public.
ABOUT THE GENTILLY RESILIENCE DISTRICT: The $141 million HUD-funded Gentilly Resilience District (GRD) is a combination of efforts across the Gentilly neighborhood that are designed to reduce flood risk, slow land subsidence, improve energy reliability, and encourage neighborhood revitalization.
