Arts New Orleans is excited to share the news of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) extending its support for LUNA Fête with a $50,000 Grant for Arts Projects award. As part of the initial round of fiscal year 2024 grants, the NEA is set to distribute a total of 958 Grants for Arts Projects, amounting to over $27.1 million.
We are truly grateful for the ongoing endorsement of LUNA Fête by the NEA, acknowledging our festival of light, art, and technology, along with our commitment to creative placemaking. Being recognized both as a grant recipient and a featured festival at the national board meeting adds significant value to our organization and the artists we support.
Maria Rosario Jackson, Ph.D., Chair of the National Endowment for the Arts, expressed delight in awarding the grant to Arts New Orleans, recognizing its contribution to the strength and well-being of the arts sector and the local community. The NEA aims to support communities like ours, fostering an environment where everyone has the opportunity to lead artful lives.
LUNA Fête, our annual free festival of light, art, and technology, transforms downtown New Orleans with a captivating display of light-based sculptures from both local and international artists. The event also features live music, culinary delights, and more.
